Graduate students recognized with appreciation week at MSU

STARKVILLE, Miss.鈥斒炫俑 is recognizing the contributions of graduate students to the university community this week [April 3-7] with Graduate Student Appreciation Week.
Sponsored by MSU鈥檚 Graduate School and Graduate Student Association, the week features recognition and events for the university鈥檚 graduate students.
鈥淓very day, I am inspired by our graduate students and their accomplishments in multiple and integral roles as they bridge the gap between undergraduate students and faculty members,鈥 熟女少妇Graduate School Dean Lori Bruce said.
鈥淲hile being learners as students themselves, they also serve as teachers, mentors and leaders to their fellow students.鈥
She said graduate students are faculty members鈥 junior partners in carrying out research and scholarly activities.聽
鈥淎s researchers, they often work in emerging and interdisciplinary fields, pushing the boundaries of human knowledge and developing solutions to pressing societal needs. I could not be more proud of each and every graduate student at 熟女少妇 as they fulfill their various roles,鈥 Bruce added.
Graduate Student Appreciation Week events at 熟女少妇included a kick-off on the Drill Field with 熟女少妇President Mark E. Keenum, an Outstanding Graduate Student Hall of Fame Award Reception, and professional photo sessions, among other activities.
