STARKVILLE, Miss.鈥擣ifteen Mississippi State graduate students are completing a program designed to help ready them for future faculty careers.

The Preparing Future Faculty certificate program includes benefits such as improved understanding of teaching and learning, including faculty roles and responsibilities; interaction with peers and faculty across disciplines; and improved preparation for faculty positions and the job market.

The initiative is coordinated by MSU鈥檚 Center for Teaching and Learning and is a cooperative effort between the CTL, the Graduate School and 熟女少妇Libraries. Facilitators include Michael Seymour, CTL acting director; Linda Morse, graduate program coordinator; and Amy Barefield, program coordinator.

Successful graduate student candidates must attend required classes and activities. Those meeting requirements and obtaining certificates for the 2018-2019 program include:

鈥擱obert A. Barlow of Coaling, Alabama, a master鈥檚 student in applied anthropology in the College of Arts and Sciences.

鈥擟ecilia Brooks of Starkville, a human development and family sciences doctoral student in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.

鈥擧arry Cridge of the United Kingdom, a resident in the College of Veterinary Medicine.

鈥擜shley C. Dafoe of Thornton, Colorado, a master鈥檚 student in applied anthropology in the College of Arts and Sciences.

鈥擲ayantani Dutta of India, a computer science doctoral student in the Bagley College of Engineering.

鈥擟ourtney P. Heaton of Starkville, a doctoral student in agricultural science/animal and dairy science in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.

鈥擠ara Jaiyeola of Nigeria, a master鈥檚 student in computer science in the Bagley College of Engineering.

鈥擳amara Mahadin of Jordan, an English lecturer in the College of Arts and Sciences.
