A bolt of electricity makes its way through equipment in . As the largest lab of its kind among North American universities, it serves as an  independent, non-industrial,  university research center for high voltage engineering. The multi-purpose facility, housed in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, supports industry and utilities with research and evaluation/testing needs while providing a state-of-the-art learning environment for students.
